Nearly 2,900 voters cast ballots in Tuesday’s election for mayors and board members in many Robeson County towns.
Here are some highlights from the election, based on unofficial results from the North Carolina State Board of Elections.
- Fairmont Mayor Charles Kemp won another term in office.
- Four Lumberton City Council members kept their seats after facing no challengers.
- In a crowded Pembroke Town Council race, incumbent Channing Jones kept his seat, and Chad Deese was also elected.
